We’d also like to take a moment to introduce your 2025 Slo-Pitch Board of Directors:

We are immediately seeking to fill a few positions on the board. Vacancies are as follows:
– President
– Vice President
– Treasurer
– Members at Large x2

There are only 2 spots filled on the board at the moment which is currently not enough for quorum (not enough to make voting decisions). If you are interested or would like to nominate someone for a position on the board, please email your name, contact information (phone # and email), and position you are interested in to scslopitch@gmail.com. You must be an active rostered member of the league and have not served on the board in the previous 2 seasons. All nominations must be in NO LATER THAN JANUARY 31, 2025. A minimum of 3 positions need to be filled to meet quorum. If there is not enough interest, steps will begin to fold the league as per SC Slopitch’s constitution.

In the event that there are several nominations or volunteers for multiple positions, a vote will be held by email on February 10th, 2025 by the team reps from the 2024 season to elect members for the new board. This vote has to be completed prior to our AGM in March as the City of Swift Current planning meetings with the summer user groups start the 3rd week in February.

We do suggest that you review NSA’s and SC Slopitch’s Code of Conduct so that, if you are interested in being on the board, you are aware of the expectations required of board members and other members of the league.

SC Slopitch presents its annual Mid-Summer Classic Tournament! All co-ed divisions are welcome (7/3 and big ball/little ball format). Entries are $300 with cash payout to 1st place on the A side (minimum $2500 payout). Max of 20 teams. Cash/swag to top teams in all divisions as well as a “1st Man Out” prize! Home Run Derby for male and female participants at $5/entry with 100% cash payout and prizes! Beer gardens, concession and Mama T’s food truck will be on site! We will also be hosting a cabaret featuring Jesse Genns Saturday evening after the home run derby! Registration deadline is July 12th, 2024.
